Out & About: Date Night Edition

Hey guys!!!

Sometimes it feels like the planets have to align perfectly in order for the honey and I to get out of the house, at night, all by our lonesome for some adult fun. We got lucky and after some strategic planning, we were kid free for the weekend! I was so excited, I even looked up tutorials on creating a dramatic smokey eye to amp up my look.

Saturday night we decided to go into the city and hang out like we used to. We saw a movie, found an amazing restaurant near West 4th that served the most incredible stuffed burgers and beer, then we went dancing! At the end of the night (which wasn’t very late, lol) I was sweaty, disheveled and hobbling to the car because of a hardcore blister that formed on my foot (goodtimes). I don’t know if it was the extreme heat or the fact that we are no longer 20, but we were completely undone by the time we got home. Crazy since we used to break dawn, and then go for breakfast before calling it a night. This is clearly not the case anymore, lol.

So we are older and things change but that doesn’t mean I had any less fun - which is the only thing that really matters. When I got home, I nursed my blister and we watched ‘Juice’ while eating ice cream in bed. Best. Night. Ever.

Also to note, my entire outfit, minus the shoes, is THRIFTED!! When I made this revelation to Tino, he was shocked and amazed. Think this whole outfit cost me less than $30, including shoes and jewelry!!

Hope you guys had a lovely weekend, even in this extreme heat. I wanted to hit the beach but we decided to sleep in Sunday and chill under the AC until the little one came home from his adventures with Grandpa.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. You guys are AWESOME!!
