That 70’s Show…

Hey everyone!!
I am in such a good mood - hence the beauty shot, lol! After experimenting with a wash and go hair style last week, and not touching it since (beyond adding a lil shea butter daily to keep it from looking dry), I woke up this morning to the cutest most petite afro I’ve ever had! I’m sorry yall, but I am super excited. My hair had been slowly (and weirdly) shrinking as the days passed, and I was just too lazy busy to deal with it. I figured I would just have to rock a turban, and hope I didn’t look hot. BUT this morning my hair just looked absolutely glorious. I messed with it a bit to shape it and fully committed to the retro vibe it was giving me.

The hair gave me all sorts of inspiration today. I am participating in the Thrifted challenge over at
and decided to try to pull off a look I have seen some of my favorite bloggers wear: a skirt as a dress. This thrifted skirt nearly jumped out the closet this morning (no lie, I really need to clean my closet, it is a full on mess, lol) so I put it to work with light oatmeal colored cardigan that I belted. The shoes were an impulse buy from F21 that I surely regret. Although these wedges are super cute, they hurt like all hell! They worked perfectly with my look, so I took one for the team and headed out (with flats in my bag of course). S

I also tried a new beauty look. I had this lipstick I bought from MAC for a while but never got around to wearing it. I admit I am a clear lip gloss kind of girl, but I really wanted to try this pinkish-nude color. I used a tiny bit of bronzer and the lipstick, topping it, of course, with lip gloss.
OOTD:
Skirt (worn as a dress)/ belt/bag - Thrifted
Cardigan - Oldnavy
Shoes - F21

One more day til Friday and let me tell you, I am amped!!!!! Cannot wait to relax this weekend. Felt like the longest work week ever. How are you guys doing? Question: Does your hair ever make or break your outfits? Let me know.
Thanks for reading. You guys are awesome, seriously!!
